Exeter Saracens RFC Fireworks Night lit up the sky!

Gilbert Stephens Solicitors were delighted to support the Exeter Saracens RFC Firework Night held on Saturday 9th November from 5pm onwards. The event was organised to raise funds for the clubs ongoing kit and equipment as well as improvements on the floodlights for the pitch. It’s Classics Galore!

On Saturday 9th November, Gilbert Stephens Solicitors were delighted to be one of the sponsors for the Classics Galore! concert which returned to the University of Exeter’s Great Hall for the seventh time. This year’s much anticipated event was particularly moving as the event’s founder, Dick Passmore, who created the event with his wife Posy, passed away earlier this year following his long and courageous battle with cancer. The popular classical music concert is in support of Exeter’s local cancer charity, FORCE, and it was reported on the night that Dick and Posy’s ambitious target to raise over £100,000 has now been met. There was an absolutely exhilarating atmosphere at the Ottery St Mary Tar Barrels on Tuesday 5th November. Gilbert Stephens Solicitors were very proud of Deanne Cummings from our Sidmouth Office as she, and her daughter Zoe, bravely lifted the traditional blazing tar barrels on to their shoulders and ran through the crowded streets. The Flaming Tar Barrels of Ottery St Mary

30th October 2019

Ottery St Mary is internationally renowned for its flaming Tar Barrels event that takes place on Guy Fawkes night, the 5th November, every year. Gilbert Stephens Solicitors will be supporting this ancient Westcountry tradition again this year and if you go along you will see Deanne Cummings from our Sidmouth Office and her daughter Zoe rolling the barrels. It has been in their family for generations and they will be entering their 38th and 19th year respectively.

Bonkers Conkers Competition at Lloyd’s Kitchen

Brewin Dolphin hosted their annual ‘Bonkers Conkers’ competition for the fifth year running on Thursday 24th October at city centre restaurant, Lloyd’s Kitchen.
