Late Night Shopping in Sidmouth

16th December 2019

On Friday 6th December, our Sidmouth office stayed open late and got involved in the town’s annual Late Night Shopping event. We thoroughly enjoyed setting up a stand outside our office and handing out mince pies, mulled wine, and chocolate coins to all the late night shoppers as they made their way into the town centre.

Organised by Sidmouth Chamber of Commerce, Late Night Shopping in Sidmouth provides the perfect opportunity for shoppers to search for Christmas gifts after hours. This traditional event not only exhibits the unique retail shops in the seaside town, but also the wonderful cafés, independent book shops, and professional services that can be found right on your doorstep.

Deanne Cummings, Legal Secretary; Deborah Langham, Private Client Executive; Sue-Ellen Lee, Legal Assistant; Caroline Parker, Solicitor, and Dana Mulligan, Marketing Manager, all dressed festively for the evening, which was admired by many Sidmouth shoppers.

Deborah says “it was great to catch up with both Alexandra Croft and Claire Veness, Solicitor and Partner at our Sidmouth office, who stopped by on their way into the town centre. It was so nice to see them both attending the event with their children”.

The evening offered Christmas lights and window displays in the high street, in addition to lots of live entertainment. This included performances from Sidmouth Steppers and Sidmouth Primary School who sang in the Church.

Gilbert Stephens was pleased to be a part of this community event again this year. It was a very enjoyable evening filled with twinkling lights, mulled spices and smiling shoppers.
