17th January 2020

On Tuesday 14th January, Gilbert Stephens Solicitors were extremely pleased to congratulate Classics Galore on raising a remarkable £22,500 for a fantastic local charity. The firm are proud to be sponsors of the annual Concert which raises funds for FORCE. FORCE is an Exeter-based charity which works to improve patient care within the City by funding research and innovation.

Nigel McKay, Partner, and Dana Mulligan, Marketing Manager, gathered at the FORCE Support and Information Centre alongside many other sponsors, performers, organisers, and representatives of the charity to celebrate the concert’s tremendous fundraising success. During the event, Peter Payne, Chairman of the Committee at Classics Galore, presented the cheque with Nigel to Meriel Fiskwick, Chief Executive Officer at FORCE.

Nigel says “I always thoroughly enjoy attending the concerts, and I also get to see my wife sing in the choir. It’s fantastic that these events are able to raise so much money for FORCE and as a firm we are always very happy to be sponsors”.

“Classics Galore! is a fantastically enjoyable evening with a musical selection that everyone will recognise. The event has now been successfully running for seven concerts and has raised more than £112,000 for FORCE and I want to thank everyone who gets involved behind the scenes for their commitment and dedication to putting on a spectacular night for our charity. This includes the committee who organise the concert; the performers who give their time on stage and of course to the local businesses from Exeter, East and Mid Devon who sponsor the event so that it can take place to begin with. One such sponsor is Gilbert Stephens who have supported six concerts now and have been a tremendous team to work with,” says Sarah Daniels, Head of Income Generation at FORCE.

The next Classics Galore! Concert will be held in The Great Hall at the University of Exeter on Saturday 6th November 2021. We look forward to seeing what next year’s Concert has to offer!
