Gina Awad from Exeter Dementia Action Alliance visits with the new 2021 calendar

12th October 2020

Last week we were delighted to welcome Gina Awad from Exeter Dementia Action Alliance (EDAA) to our Exeter office. Gina kindly dropped off some of the 2021 EDAA calendars which will be taking pride of place amongst our offices for another year.

Meeting with Jonathan Cave of our Private Client Department Gina explained the “The Shining A Light On Dementia” Calendar has again been illustrated by the creative genius and Private Eye cartoonist Tony Hubbard. The collaboration between them highlights the need for people living with dementia, and their carers to receive understanding, compassion and support to enable them to live well and to help shine a light on dementia.

We are proud members of the EDAA and jumped at the chance to be a sponsor of the calendar for a third year. The EDAA works hard in our local area to provide information and services and raise awareness about the struggles of those living with dementia and those who care for a loved one with dementia. Their focus is on empowering dementia patients and their families.

If you are having difficult discussions about the future with relatives we can help support you. We can ensure desired future choices are recorded and will be put in place and followed when the time comes. We will listen and work with you and your family to ensure the outcome for your loved one is just as they want. We want to enable them to feel secure in the knowledge that they have been heard and their future is as they would choose it to be, even if their ability to make that decision passes.

The desk calendars are available to purchase for £7+ P&P. For more information, or to order, please email .
