Gilbert Stephens Celebrated Another Successful Year at Okehampton and Chagford Agricultural Shows!

We had a fantastic time at the Okehampton and Chagford Agricultural Shows last week, despite the unpredictable British weather! These events are a highlight of our year, giving us the opportunity to connect with clients, meet new faces, and enjoy the best of what these local shows have to offer.

Okehampton Show may have been dampened by some challenging weather, but everyone’s spirits remained high. Our team was there bright and early, handing out free bacon sandwiches with teas and coffees to warm everyone up ahead of the fun-packed day. Despite the rain, it was wonderful to see so many people stop by our stand, and the complimentary face painting for the little ones kept smiles on many faces throughout the day!

Fortunately, the weather took a turn for the better at the Chagford Show the following week, brightening the day and bringing more visitors to our stand. In the afternoons of both shows, we continued our tradition of inviting people in for a glass or two of Pimms and cream tea, which were enjoyed by many as they took a break from exploring the showgrounds.

In the lead up to both shows, we ran a Facebook competition, offering people a chance to win tickets to either show. The response was great, and we were thrilled to welcome our lucky winners to the shows.

At Chagford Show, we also announced the winner of our highly anticipated prize draw. This year’s prize, a kids ride on Land Rover Defender, was a hit! With around 400 entries, we were delighted to announce the good news to our winner, who was overjoyed!

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the organisers of both shows for their hard work in putting together these wonderful events. Despite the weather, the sense of community was as strong as always, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s shows.
